If you've never had a migraine consider yourself blessed!

And no-- is not just a very bad headache. Personally, mine are a big fuzzy pain on one side my head, I feel VERY nauseous, weak, and I am very sensitive to light and sound. What makes it worse is that I get them when I am stressed out and can't sleep well. Now body, I am stressed out and can't sleep because I have lots of things to do, so why make it even harder for me to do these things by making me feel like this? Why not give me this wonderful boost to improve my day, instead of making me feel like I was hit with a bus?
The purpose of this post is not to complain, but share my ways to fix the problem. First, a live by the power of Excedrin Migraine. It works wonders for me and is over the counter, I take two a day, and my migraine is gone. Secondly, drinking lots of water. Whenever I am dehydrated, I feel a lot worse and isn't drinking water the cure to everything? Lastly, taking it easy before and during the migraine. Due to my migraine mainly being caused by stress I try to do things to lower my stress levels. I try not to procrastinate, surround myself with positive people, and PLAN. During my migraine, its not like I can act as if I have nothing to do. So, I try to complete as many task as I can in the dark, with no sound, with healthy snacks. If I have a paper due, I'll write it in my room instead of the library, where I can control the light and volume around me. I also take a lot more breaks and spend any leftover time I have relaxing my body, like blogging or eating.
